Hair Issues
Hair we go again. Okay now that the corniness is out of the way, no seriously. I'm so over my hair. It doesn't seem to be growing, but rather shrinking. I have not been inspired by a style in years. Literally years. It's been 4.5 years since my last perm and 4 years since I cut it all off. I'm very seriously considering chopping it all off again, something I thought I'd never say. I'm also thinking of locks but don't know if I have the patience and how I like my hair feeling soft right after I wash it. I know that's possible with locks but it just scares me to do something crazy with my hair and hate it. But then I was thinking last night, "If I don't like it, I can just cut it off and start all over." A perm has pretty much been taking off of the table. The up-keep is SO annoying. I hate hair. I was actually looking enviously at Rashan's "low all over" Caesar yesterday. So much easier. But I prefer not to look like a 12-year-old boy. And Nick Arrojo is not helping by giving this girl a fab cut. BUT he has done some AWFUL things with black women's hair. So oh well on that one. Howsomever, I NEED HAIR HELP!!!

You've been talking about trying locks for a while now...TRY EM! I think you'll like them...and if you like them, you might not mind the added maintenance.
Like you said...if you DONT like them, you can always start from scratch again.
Well... do you want long hair? Sounds like you just have major shrinkage which requires styles that will stretch it out. If you don't want to do that, then I'm with Diva... try locks!
Now, I also feel you on cutting your hair. Mine is finally at a length where I can twist it and do stuff with it, but I sort of want to chop it back to an inch again. An inch was GREAT.
So, I say, try locks...or revisit some styling options. And then cut if all else fails.
I say go with lock. I think you would look good with them.
Girl you and me are in the same boat. I've been blogging about my hair issues for the longest time. It's frustrating so I feel your pain. I still haven't figured out what to do and keep going back and forth with cutting it ALL off.
I hope you find something that you like and something that suits you.
Aww man. Black women and our hair. Its never easy, no matter the style.
Ditto diva and shani. If you're not feeling the locs, at least you're open to cutting your hair again.
I so didn't know hair shrinks!
I'm soooooooooo bias, but LOCK IT! LOL
I have nothing to offer. Hair and I have never gotten along.
I'm more of a fan of the locks even though I'm too much of a wuss to try them myself. Lol.
Locks would probably be cute on you.
I grew my locs @ hampton and i never looked back! once you patiently wait out the loc'ing process the up keep is SO easy. I just got lazy after 8 years and started to let someone else do it and i cut it into a style.
diva... ehh... idk.
shani... idk. isn't an inch the easiest thing you've ever done in your life? did you just add options? lol.
epsi... we'll see.
goddess... right?? the issues are like a revolving door with me! hope i find something, too!
adei... never ever easy.
lady... lol
momisodes... and perhaps that's the best answer of all lol.
v... i've been punking out for years, too.
1969... probably. lol.
sha... see it's the patience part i'm not so good at. lol.
